I’m looking for information on my great-great grandparents and their families. I am from Argentina. My great-great grandfather Giuseppe Modena was born in Trento in the 1860’s. I’m not sure about the exact birth date. He got married to my great-great grandmother Maria Gnata. She was born in Arco in the 1860’s also. Her parent’s names were Domingo (Domenico?) Gnata and Teresa Mayer. Giuseppe and his wife Maria came to Argentina in the 1880’s. I think Giuseppe had four siblings: Cornelio, Francesco, Aldo and Luigia. The Modena family owned a bakery/candy shop in Trento called “Paneficio Trentino”. Its address was Via Vitt. Venetto, 92.
As for Maria Gnata, I don’t know much about her family, except that she had a sister who died very young. Giuseppe kept going back to Trento on a regular basis. He made his last visit during World War I and could never return to Argentina. He died there. Any information on these people would be appreciated. Birth, death or marriage certificates, anything…
