Maria Frongillo m. Ciriaco Annecchiarico
Bee, My great grandmother was Maria Frongillo. She was born, lived, and died in Montemiletto (AV) Italy. However, her son(s)immigrated to the US. Her son, Antonio (Tony) Annecchiarico, was my grandfather. He lived in New York (College Point, I think), then settled in Allentown, PA. While in New York, I believe he worked in a butcher shop (with brothers and cousins). In Pennsylvania, he operated a coal business and a grocery store.
As for Maria Frongillo, she married Ciriaco Annecchiarico in Montemiletto. I'm still trying to straighten out the family history surrounding Maria and Ciriaco. However, I can put you in touch with Louis Frongillo from Boston, MA. He is alos hot on the trail of the Frongillo's from Italy.

Surname: Frongillo; Italy
I just read your post, and I'm also curious about my family line. I was hoping someone could help me learn more. I know that many of the Frongillo blood line immigrated to the U.S.A. but that's all I know right now.

Re: Surname: Frongillo; Italy
Rori, Do you have an idea where in the USA your Frongillo family immigrated to? It appears that Boston and New York were the most prominent destinations for Frongillos from Montemiletto and Torre Le Nocelle. Montemiletto and Torre Le Nocelle are two little mountain towns in the Province of Avellino, south of Rome, about 40 miles outside Naples. Torre Le Nocelle is like a little adjunct of Montemiletto (although I'm sure they don't think so) -- but you can easily walk from one place to the other and marriages between families in both towns are plentiful.
It would help if you could get some information on where your Frongillo family comes from and, perhaps, where they settled when they arrived in the USA.
Let me know what you find out and we can compare notes.

Re:Mary Goivanne Frongillo m. Guiseppe DiRienzo
I also am hunting the Frongillo name. My great grand mother was Mary Goivanne Frongillo was born Dec 8, 1873 somewhere unknown in Italy. She married my grandfather, Guiseppe DiRienzo in the Boston area. She died in 1949. I know her fathers name was Carmine DiRienzo and her mothers maiden name was Pizzano. That's all the info I have. Any ideas?

For: Hunting Frongillo
Found this while researching Ellis Island records. Any help?

There are also many records for Giuseppe DiRienzo.
There are also 113 records for Pizzano.
