I am also trying to find some information on the Frongillo family. Maria Frongillo was my grandmother. She died in the late 1920s in Toronto. All I know about her was that she married my grandfather, Philomeno Ceccacci (Cecy) sometime between his arriving in the U.S. in 1904 and the birth of their first child prior to 1920. My grandfather was from Guarcino and landed at Ellis Island and went to Providence before coming to Canada. He was born in 1878 or 1879That's all I know.

Virginia,
In my research, I've discovered that Frongillo is one of those names that shows up all over Italy. In addition, Maria is one of those names given to nearly every girl child born in Italy in the 19th and 20th centuries -- generally combined with another name usually found multiple times in multiple generations in multiple branches of the family. Unless your Frongillo family is actually from Montemiletto, I don't believe there is much I can offer you. My Frongillo family comes from Montemiletto and perhaps Torre Le Nocelle. Beyond that, I simply do not know. I'm having trouble distinguishing between the Maria Frongillo's I do know about.

I wish you good luck in your research.

Sincerely,
Toni Chiarico

I also am interested in the Frongillo family tree and I have a Joseph DiRienzo listed on my tree. He would be married to Michellucci daughter to Carmine Frongillo and Saveria DeMinico. They were from Torre Le Nocelle, (AV) Italy.
I am a decendant from Andrew (Andres or Andrea) Frongillo who was my great great grandfather and he would have been Michellucci's brother. If this information makes any sense to you, I'd love to hear from you.
Thanks

This Frongillo family is indeed my family. The Luigi and Philomena you mention were my mother's grandparents and I clearly remember visiting the Frongillo farm on Grafton Hill as a child to see my Great Uncle Henry and Aunt Rosey and all their children and grandchildren. They later opened a lumber yard in Shrewsbury called H. Frongillo and Sons. My grandfather was Henry's brother John Frongillo who married Josephine Rizzuti. They also lived in Worcester and had three daughters together. Beatrice (who died as a young child), Marguerite and my mother, Eleanor. Grandpa John also had two additional daughters with his first wife who died leaving him a widower. Their names were Philomena and Louise. My mother Eleanor and her Sister Marguerite (Meg) had a double wedding with my mother marrying Thomas Cronin (my Dad) and my Aunt Meg marrying Paul Tringuk Sr. (Aka Pat). I am my parents only child and was born with the name Kevin Michael Cronin. I changed it after getting in showbiz to Kevan Michaels. And, my Aunt Meg and Uncle Pat had a son, Paul Tringuk Jr. S Meg and Pat later divorced and married James" Dick" Gould. They had a daughter Melissa (Missy).
