Thanks for your reply. My dad Antonio (Tony) doesn't have any family tree info. He did meet Jean-Marie several years ago when you visited Australia. I know my grandad, Domenic Calderan came from a large family 12 boys 1 girl and he came to Australia after World War 1, he sent for his wife Teresa and Tony later. Do you have any info about the other family members of Domenic and his siblings, parents, etc. Dad doesn't remember much as he was only 3 yrs old when he came here. I would appreciate any information so I can pass this onto my children. There are only 3 male Calderan grandsons with 4 male great grandsons in our present family, My childrens surname is Taylor and its important for them to have links with their Italian heritage.
Don't know if you are aware that Peter Calderan (husband of Joan) died in October 2009. Look forward to hearing from you again.
If you have a family tree on line would be fantastic to see it.

Thanks again, Margaret Taylor

The rest of the family, Toni Calderan and Maria Calderan and their family are still living in Italy in Aviano and suburb.
My Husband Jean-Marie Calderan and I met Tony and Peter when we travelled in Australia in 1992.
Do not hesitate to contact us if you wish more information!

I don't know where she was born, who her parents were or if she had siblings so I don't know if we're from the same line or not. Azzano Decimo is not far at all from Pasiano so it could be possible.

I am looking for family of Letizia Verardo, born 1884 in Brugnera. She married Vincenzo Antoniel (Antonielli or Antonio). They had a son named Massimilliano born in 1905. Letizia and Vincenzo left Italy for the USA in 1906 and 1907. Letizia visited Pordennone in 1929, perhaps to visit with her sister or her father, who may have been named Paolo. It is a family story that the Verardo family may have owned a pasta factory or store during this time period. I have received more information: Letizia had 7 siblings: Mina(?),Meto, Benedetto, Antonio, Battista, Marino and Maria. Paolo's parents were Giacomo and Caterina (nee Sacilotto)

Bannia 1895 Parish Census, List of Families

You can find a blog post on Bannia, a frazione of Fiume Veneto in the province of Pordenone at the Jim's Girl Family History Blog: http://jimsgirlfamilyhistoryblog.blogspot.com/2011/04/b-is-f...

Here's an exerpt listing the families in the parish at the time:

What we did find was a history of the parish, SS. Perpetua e Felicita di Bannia, which had been written by the parish priest, Stefano Battiston. The book includes an 1895 census of the parish, Statistica della popolazione di bannia al 1 gennajo 1895. Like many old censuses, it only gives the names of the head of the household, plus the number of males and females living there. As a parish census, it also shows how many in the household had received the sacraments of Communion, Confirmation and Marriage. There were 194 families in Bannia in 1895, with a total of 1,374 people. I won't copy the census without the permission of Don Stefanno, but here's a summary of the family names in Bannia at the time:

(family name: number of households in Bannia in 1895)

Agnolet: 1
Babuin: 2
Bassetto: 1
Basso: 2
Battel: 6
Battiston: 1
Bertolo: 10
Bertoli: 1
Bertoja: 1
Bisaro: 2
Borean: 3
Bortolussi: 1
Boscariol: 2
Bottega: 1
Bottos: 1
Boz: 1
Buligan: 5
Candido: 4
Calderan: 1
Callegari: 4
Carlis: 1
Ceolin: 1
Cepparo: 1
Ceschin: 1
Chiarot: 1
Cancian: 1
Dal Tio: 2
Da Re: 1
Del Bianco: 1
De Lorenzi: 2
Dolcetti: 1
Dreon: 2
Fabbro: 1
Favret: 2
Facca: 9
Feruglio: 1
Frattolin: 2
Gallio: 1
Gasparotto: 2
Grillo: 5
Innocent: 1
Lovisa: 1
Manzon: 1
Marson: 3
Marta: 1
Morassutti: 2
Mores: 1
Moret: 1
Morettin: 2
Maura: 1
Mio detto Parussolo: 1
Mio detto Tesolin: 3
Muzzin: 14
Modolo: 1
Montegnacco: 1
Pasut: 2
Pavan: 8
Pellarin: 4
Pighin: 1
Pignat: 1
Pezzutti: 1
Praturlon: 1
Puppa: 2
Puppulin: 1
Quarin: 1
Ragogna: 1
Redigonda: 1
Ros: 2
Rosin: 1
Rosset: 1
Rovere: 1
Roversi: 1
Rubli: 1
Rugo: 1
Santin: 1
Santarossa: 1
Sacilotto: 1
Sciardi: 1
Susanna: 4
Toffoli: 1
Tossut: 1
Vaccher: 10
Vida: 1
Villalta: 1
Zanese: 1
Zuccatto: 14
Zuccet: 1
I am trying to find information about the Calderan family from Azzano Decimo.

My Grandfather- Dante Giuseppe Calderan born 1 October 1913
Father- Giuseppe Calderan born 1888
Mother- Augusta Giovanna Crestan born 1890

My Great Grandfather- Domenico Calderan, married to Giacoma Del Col Din (however a search on http://www.friulinprin.beniculturali.it ) shows Giacoma Del Col Dino and also Dina Del Col (both married to Domenico Calderan).

My Great Grandmother's parents: Giuseppe Crestan, married to Giuseppina (Giuseppa) Muzzignat.

My Great Grandfather Giuseppe Calderan had two brothers I am aware of- Olivo and Luigi Calderan.

My Great Grandmother Augusta Crestan had brothers Santo, Lorenzo, Angelo, Luigi, Gastone.

I can't find any family trees online that have any overlapping or common Calderan ancestors.

Mostly all with Calderan surname originate from Azzano Decimo area, and it is a more rare surname- there are not many.

I am hoping to find more ancestors for my tree as well as living relatives.

Thank you!
