My great grandmother was Fedela Di Sessa (have seen it spelled De Sessa, Sessa, even Sesse), who is presumed to be from Avellino, maybe Taurasi where the Piscopos are from. She was born in Italy in 1878 and died in 1929 in Newton. She is buried with most of her children at St. Joseph's in West Roxbury, MA. Fedela lived in Winthrop during the marriage to my great-grandfather, Benjamin Piscopo and then moved to Newton after the divorce. I saw the roots web which indicated that her parents were Francesco di Sessa and Mariagela di Sessa, but am not 100% certain. Does any of this sound like it has connections with your di Sessa family? I can't locate any info on her family.
