The couple you mentioned (Giovanni Gemmato and Antonia Lacedra) are in my file!!

Giovanni Gemmato born 22 Sep 1869 in Triggiano,
Antonia Lacedra born 28 Oct 1875 in Carbonara
married 8 Sept 1895 in Triggiano
One child in my files (obviously not all of them) Elena Gemmato born 23 Nov 1901 in Carbonara.

I have the Gemmato connection going back 12 generations!

You mentioned that they were from Bari. I presume you either were just referring to the province, or that you hadn't quite nailed down the town yet. If they had any kids in the city of Bari, I don't know. I'll bet they had most if not all of their kids in Carbonara (which was a town but is now a "frazione" (sort of a suburb) of Bari)
