I'm nearly at my wits end because I have an ancestor, William Arment/Guillaume Armand, but no specific birthdate & birthplace and there's no way of getting them, unless of course I go to France or someone in France is nice enough to help me. So I have nothing to go on but a name. I'll check out the resources you included in your message. I just don't know what else to do at this point. There's no bible, no known burial place, no records really indicating a birthplace or parents. Only records are a deed he signed his last name as "Armond" on & a will. So I hope your websites will help. Apparently my last name is French and I'm very proud of that, so I want to know more. Hopefully I will. Thanks again. I appreciate it.
