Thanks to all of you for your work and advice. I, too, have a D'Armand ancestor. I have a marriage certificate that unites David Harmon and Nancy Anne White in 1787 in St. Martinsville, LA. David listed his father as Cristobal D'Armand. However, he listed his name as David Harmon.
I just read Roscoe and Virginia D'Armand's book. I did not see anything in the text nor in the index. Someone has suggested that Cristobal was still in Europe. I understand that a France edict scattered many French Protestants throughout Europe.
I am beginning to look in Europe. I have the websites that were previously given. Does anyone have any suggestions?
