I really don't know who are Albert Pavy or Benjamin Saunders Pavy. I am trying to discover the French connection of my family, as my g-g-g-g-g came from France, but that's all that I know. From what I have been told, my g-grandfather was an officer in Napolean's army, was captured at the Battle of Leipiz by the British, and was being sent to fight against America in the War of 1812. His ship ran aground in the Chesapeake Bay, he jumped ship, escaped, and settled in Caroline County, Virginia. Now, I've got most of the information after that, which I'll be more than happy to share, but I have no idea where my g-grandfather came from.

His American name was William Gilam Pavy. My brother Jay and I suspect his name was Americanized to the above. It is just a guess, but his name could have been Guilliame, but we're not totally sure. If you can help me any, I would definately appreciate it.
