Bonjour, c'est en cherchant quelques renseignements sur les Marquis de Laroche que je trouvais ceci :

Sur Wikipedia : les Ferrandis (alors Duc d'Hixar) furent les Connétables du Roi d'Aragon jusqu'au XVIIIe siècle.

Venant d'Occitanie, ils sont présents simultanément en France et en Aragon. Allicante et Valence (dont certaines archives le font Roi) ainsi que le Sud de la France furent leur zone d'influence.

Il est cependant à noter une présence en Italie en tant que Vice-roi notamment au XVIIe siècle.

Ainsi Pere ou Pierre Ferrandis (à l'instar de Richard Cœur de Lion qui parlait l'Occitan et le français) qui fut pendant cette charge le mécène de Cervantès, finança le 2e Don Quichotte.

Ce Pere ou Pierre Ferrandis est à ne pas confondre avec son ancêtre du XIIIe siècle qui fût le fer de lance de la RECONQUISTA, puis devint chef pendant la 6e & 7e Croisade...

Les Ferrandis semblent avoir été pris entre deux ordres :

- celui du roi de France (qu'ils combattirent & battirent quand l'intérêt des Catalans était menacé) http://histoiredescatalans.over-blog.com/15-index.html

- le Saint Empire romain germanique.

Les écrits catalans attestent dès le 7e siècles du nom "Ferrandis" : "Ferran" le destrier de l'Ordre équestre de la Rome Antique + "is" terminaison occitane.

Ce nom est attaché à des Wisigoth, dit-on, compagnons Wisigoth du Général romain Flavius Aetius. Certains auteurs font remonter l'origine de cette famille de guerriers et clercs aux mythique Pélasges.

Ils servirent dans l'armée française de manière continue et sur divers continents (dont l'Afrique) à partir du XIXe siècle.

Avec mes efforts de recherche en regard d’un monsieur EDWARD FINEL (le premier)

J’ aimerai communique avec n’importe qui soit eux-mêmes ou autres qui sont au courant des individués qui vivaient dans la région de Massachusetts, de les États Unis durant les années 1700 1748.

Ont croit ce monsieur EDWARD FINEL (le premier) a des ancêtres en France et probablement a été baptiser avec le nom EDWARD on son père s’appelez EDWARD. Parce que ce monsieur FINEL 1 était le père d’un garçon nomme EDWARD qui est ne le 27 Octobre 1748 en Massachusetts et a’ cause des façons de nommer les enfants dans les États-Unis durant cette époque, EDWARD aurait pu être nommé comme son père ou grand-père.

Ont ne sait par a ce point de notre recherche si le premier FINEL a’ immigre aux États-Unis ou s’il était une partis d’ un section militaire localiser en l’endroit de SHREWSBURY, Massachusetts. Je n’ ait réussit a’ trouver d’ information sur lui comme la date a naissance, lieu de naissance, de’ ces etc.

Le femme qu’ont croit la mère de l’ enfant a EDWARD 1 pourrait être une amie ou la parente de la mère véritable. Mais dans quelque morceaux de mis recherches c’est indiquer que cette femme est vraiment sa mère.

In my research efforts regarding one EDWARD FINEL I wish to communicate with anyone researching the surname of FINEL that might have someone, or know of someone, who would have been in the Massachusetts U.S.A. area in the time period of 1700 to 1748. This man EDWARD FINEL 1, we believe had ancestry from France and was probably Christen Baptized named EDWARD, or his father was at this time. Because this man birthed a son named EDWARD FINEL; born 27 October 1748 in Massachusetts and because of the naming patterns in the U.S.A. at that time period he could have been named for his father, or his grandfather.

It is not known at this time in my researching if the first FINEL immigrated to the U.S.A., or if he might have been part of a military unit stationed in or near Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. I have been unable to determine any information relative to this man; birth, country of origin, death, or whatever.

The lady we believe to be the mother of his child could have also been a friend or relative of the real mother. Although, there are indicator’s that this lady was his mother in some of my findings.

My name is Gerard Dello Iacono My father is Frank and had a sister ann two brothers Bob and Mike they lived in the bronx and we live on Long Island. His fathers name was Giovani (John) he was one of I believe 10 children all from Naples...I beleive the owned or ran a textile mill and some kind of deli. He imagrated to NY after WWI and he served in the Italian army. He married Teolinda Parucci from Rome. Somewhere I heard that her grandmother was originally from Spain. I also know that there is a trucking company in Naples with the name Dello Iacono. Any information would be kindly received. I also have some pictures of his brothers from Italy.

Je travaille à l'ECPAD et je cherche des renseignements sur des photographies qui auraient été prises par Pierre Raoul Vignal en novembre 1942, lors du débarquement des soldats américains à Alger.
Nous savons que M. Vignal a fait partie du SCA (service cinématographique des armées) en 1944-1945, mais auparavant, lorsqu'il était à Alger, pour qui travaillait-il ? Etait-il fonctionnaire de l'Etat français en novembre 1942 et travaillait-il pour un service officiel, ou bien pour son propre compte, ou encore pour une autre agence de photographies ?

Je sais pas si j'écris un peu tard mais ma mère, Monique Vassilieff (Le Goff) était une bonne amie de Rolande. Elle m'en a parlé aujourd'hui. Elle habitait au 28 rue Caussemille à Alger jusqu'en 1945. Je crois qu'elle a rencontré Rolande il y a quelques années et regrette encore de ne pas avoir gardé le contact. Ecrivez-moi si possible.

You'll find the 1830/1909 records for (French) Algeria at http://anom.archivesnationales.culture.gouv.fr/caomec2/reche... (but only the 1830/1904 period is indexed to search by name).

You'll find many records, click on the eye icon on the left of the line to get the corresponding record.

No result for Wolgringer but there are several for the spelling Wolkringer, including a marriage between Constant Frédéric QUOD and Joséphine WOLKRINGER in 1896 in La Chiffa.

My great grandmother was Sarah Marco (she died in Paris in December of 1940 according to Red Cross Letter) I know that she brought my grandfather, Armand Sevey Sachs to the US in 1915 and showed them having lived in Wien Austria. She is listed as having a Goldstein as brother in law there. She lists Constantinople as her place of birth and she was born in 1875. I was in Istanbul the second week of December 2011 and through the Jewish information center located a Bernhard Marco buried in the Indonesian part of the city to have been a tailor of trade. Dr Henry Sachs was the father of my grandfather. He was a son of a tailor that family history tells us he was in Constantinople and a personal tailor to the Emperor and the fact is that during that period if in Constantinople Sultans were in power I am researching if the Emperor of France could have had his tailor in Constantinople. His wealth from that position afforded my great grandfather Dr Henry Sachs his medical education. Dr Sachs traveled as a physician employed by the French Government. I have the personal papers of my grandfather that list his place of birth in 1899 as Jassy, Romania . On his marriage application to his first wife he lists his father as Henry Sachs and a place of birth as Lazare, France which wikaPedia lists as the place of Royalty and only one synagogue is listed. I have a lot of pieces to the puzzle but do not have it all tied together. Sarah has a sister ! Emelie that married Samuel Rothlein that is from Constantinople. They were in Ohio where they had a daughter Sophia which I understand having visited the Palace of Haige Sophia in Istanbul.
one more fact was that Bernhard was married to Ethyl Kleinman from Hungary

My father Antonio was born in Naples in 1943 and Came to South Africa in 1969. My grandfather"s brother Giovanni went to America early

My mother's father is Louis DelloIacono, who was born and raised in Queens, NY and his parents were Andrea (Andrew) DelloIacono and Florence Colontorni DelloIacono---the DelloIaconos I descend from are from Naples, my great-grandma Florence was BORN in Florence. All of our family is living still on Long Island or Queens. Any background into Andrew and Florence's family would be great!

Well, it’s a little bit like looking for a needle in a haystack, but there is always hope. There are 3 individuals named LEGRAND still living in Festubert. Why not write to them and attempt your chance at finding a descendant. Find these 3 individuals in the French Yellow Pages:

This is how I proceeded back in 1998 to find my uncles, brothers of my father. Knowing that my father’s parents were born in Perpignan, Pyrenees Orientales, I looked up my surname in that city and the surrounding cities and found about 22 individuals to whom I sent letters — and I found my uncles and lots of cousins, some I didn’t know I had.

By the way, I was born in Oran, Algeria.
