Hi there,
My mother is a born Pickhardt from Gummersbach, Germany.
We have our family tree clarified to 1721. Before 1721, we have found no documentation in the church books. Harry Pickhardt, an acquaintance from New York in 1931 created a family tree for the American relatives.
He asked the question, whether before 1721, the ancestors came from the Piccardie 1685 to Gummersbach because of the Edict of Nantes and the name of equality Pickhardt, Piccardt or Picard. Maybe they have also come across Holland to Gummersbach. I am looking for documents or information on the migration movement of the Piccardie to Holland or Gummersbach (Bergische or Oberbergischer circle).

As an investment I have attached the pedigree and a letter.

Thank you for your reply. I would be happy.
