Bonjour,

Sorry, it's not available in English

AFter you opened ANOM....choice "Choisir un territoire/Select a territory =Nouvelle Calédonie"
Then "Choisir une commune/select a town, village, city; for example Nouméa)
For "Type d'acte", select Naissance=Birth Reconnaissance= Recognition of a child Marriage Divorce Death Judgment Sans vie = Stillborn Tables annuelles= Summary tables of birth .../...

Select the year or a period between X &and X

Then "Lancer la recherche"

Can you send me the kind of info you are looking for?

My apologies for getting your name incorrect Pierre!
My relative Pierre Tielle born abt 1827is a French man that came to New Zealand via Noumea, though the Noumea connection is not verified. I have recently found Pierres' Naturalisation documents in New Zealand with his place of birth somewhere in France, though I can not decipher the writing. I would be obliged if you could look at the document and tell me if you recognise the village or town he was born.
So my research into Noumea is to see if I can find any source documents verifying he actually was in Noumea based on this family knowledge. The Naturalisation document verifies he was born in France.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Kindest regards.....Tracey

Bonjour from France,

I've tried to found in a France geographic Atlas something like Lemmol, Semmol, Temmol or looking similar. Unfortunately, I do "chou blanc" (I've drawn a blanc).

On fGeneanetf, the name Tielle seems to be "Flamisch" and also German. But noyhing in Belgium

However on the Met was another personn looking for Pierre TIELLE. It's Nicole HOWLETT in Australia. May be can you have infos through that way.
http://en.geneanet.org/forum/?topic=430038.0

On "familysearch.orgf a certain Peter TIELLE married Mary Ann BROWN September 03, 1866 in Dunedin, Otago, NZ.

I hope this will help you.

Have a good day.

Pierre

Surnames: Nicholls
Hello Jacque - I've stumbled on this site and because I am not a financial member, I'm hoping to contact you this way. I am one of many Australian descendants of the Nicholls family from Noumea (mining family). You may have seen a post I placed looking for death details of my GreatGrandfather Willaim Andrew Nicholls (father also William A, mother ..(nee) Grundy).

GGF abandoned his Australian wife and three daughters about 1901 - I found him on a passenger list in 1903 with a female companion. Nicholls family obits ( 3 )place him in South Africa in 1915, 1925 but not 1926 when I think he must also have died. It is thought he married bigamously over there, possibly assuming surname Nicholson. THREE GENERATIONS of us have tried to find out what happened to him. Would you be so kind as to look in the Archives to see if anything about this is recorded? ps, the last of his grandaughters died a week ago. My name is Vernita Love.
