I am looking for the relatives of Nicklaus Flammang, probably born in the Lorraine in 1850, and who emigrated to chicago in about 1869. He then married Marie Engel, probably born in the Lorraine in about 1850 and who emigrated separately in 1870. I am also looking for probable relatives Michael Engel who was probably born in the area, and who married Franziska Lux ( may have been born there also, I do not know), in 1858 in downstate Illinois. There are enclaves of Flammangs in Iowa and Wisconsin, but so far I can not find a link to any of them. Help, please-- I am writing from Belgium right now, but will be returning to the states tomorrow. Robin Flammang/morley
