Classification: Query
Surnames: Glaudell, Glaudel, Glandel, Glandell
I'm researching my wife's family, the Glaudell family. Our research indicates that the line probably comes from Lorraine and is probably Glaudel prior to coming over. The 1st generation is one August Glaudell. He is alternately known as Augustus Glaudell and was a barber.
He was born about 1850 in France and came to America prior to 1873. Before that he is a mystery. I have a suspicion that his line is related to Henry August Glaudel from New york, and several other Glaudel lines, but have no info or proof.
I was wondering if anyone has any further options for researching this line as I am at a dead end on this one.
Thanks,
-Brent
