I have done extensive research on the Faucher family. I have that Barthelemi Faucher married Sybille Briant(Brians). He was from St. Maurice de Limoges, Limousin and an ancestor of de Sir Lomer Gouin(Gouvin). I have all his children (all the way to me) which include Leonard who was born in 1646. I've even located second cousins in Canada. I'm curious was line you follow. Let me know.

Darleen...I too have done extensive research on the Faucher family so maybe we could compare and share information. Someone has the parents of Barthelomi Faucher as Leonard and Narde DeVillegauleys. Do you have them?

My gr-grandmother was Susan Faucher Petitprin or Petiprin married to Auguste Romain. Father of Susan Faucher (mother with same same) was Augustin Faucher. His father was Antoine; his father was Jean Baptiste Faucher dit St. Maurice (the correct one born in 1684); his father was Leonard; and his father was Barthelomi.

Hi. My name is Corinne Faucher, I'm French and I make my family tree. My ancestors came from St-Jean-Ligoure, St-Priest-Ligoure, La-Roche-L'Abeille (Limousin). Perhaps we have ancestors in common... If you're interested, answer to me...

I am sure our ancesters are identical to a certain point.
Mine were living in or near Montreal in the 1800's . My maternal grandmother was a Faucher. Our line is in Chateauvert though, not St.Maurice.
Regards Gerry

Bonjours Louise: I am also a descendent of Barthelemi, and my line is identical to yours, except after Francois de Sales Faucher who married Louise Gingras. Afterwards our line kept the Faucher name.
I have an old press clipping about Mr.Joseph Chateauvert and his two sons, Hormidas and Conrad having joined the Papal Zouaves probably in 1919. The father had been decorated by the Pope and carried the tirle Chevalier. The lived in Quebec City.
While I speak and read French, writing is well beyond me

It might be interesting to meet. I am going to Montreal this summer and my sister and I would be glad to meet you.

Bonjour Gerald, I am very happy to hear from you. I realise that you have more history than I do. I also read the other messages related to yours and now I am getting the information that I was looking for since 1998 the time I started my searches through the Web Sites. I would be very interested to meet with you and your sister this summer in Montreal. Now, I am leaving in Ottawa since last June and it is only 2 hours drive. We are a large family 6 brothers and 7 sisters (3 are dead) we were all together 17. My mother still alive she is 92. Let me know early enough to plan to be free when you'll be in Montreal. Best regards Louise
ps: I am very interested to see the press clipping about Joseph Chateauvert my GGphather my fax # is: 613-990-3009
Thank you
