I'am researching the families of Modeste Francois Besanceney and his wife Victoire Jane Liette, Francois Constantan Ducotey and his wife Francoise Adelaid Pequignot whom remarried Charles Hubert Pequignot.
They were from Frahier, France. any information on these peoples french roots is greatly appreciated. Somebody must know of them. When their desendents immigrated to the U.S. they kept in very close contact with their french relatives and friends.

Hi, my name is Karen DuCotey and I am a descendent of Christian DuCotey. You may have contacted my family once before, I'm not sure. The woman who called us had your last name but I cannot remember the first name. I have quite a bit of informantion that I have collected in the last year and almost a full family tree for the DuCotey side tracing back to the late 1700s that I think I have put together accurately. I also have pictures of the tombstones of several members of Christian's family and I also visited his farm where he used to have orchards after I met the family who now owns it. They actually remember the family and I heard some very interesting stories. A few weeks after my visit, I was given two photos of two of Christian's children, but sadly, not my direct ancestors. Please email me when you get this message so we can compile some information!

This is great. How do you fit into Christians family? I also have some pictures of Christians children, his daughter Annie, and son Eben, I have a Besanceney family reunion picture from 1912, which has Christians wife Mary and I'am sure a some of his children and grandchildren in it. But can't get anyone to confirm they are his daughters. Do you have any info on a half brother of Christian. Our gg grandfather Augustus Pequignot is a half brother to Christian, but I can't find a french birth record for him, and I believe his date of birth on his stone is wrong. I found a Charles Pequignot born to Christians mother but the day and year were different then our Augustus's stone reads. But Augustus wife Julia Besanceney was born on that day. contact me directly at dipeq@ptd.net and we can share info.
Thank you so much for contacting me.
