My ancestor was b. about June 15, 1752(?) in a village that may have been in Champagne. He was known as Charles Dequasie, Duquasie, Duzua in the United States. He was a member of the French Regulars and fought in the Battle of Orleans before being sent to America to fight in the American Revolution. He did not return with the troops. His sons may have included William Lee, John and Thomas. I am looking for information about him when he was in France...parents, baptismal record, service record, anything. His son was married by a Baptist minister.
