Sandra, have you found anything about Charles Dequasie's time in France? Charles is my fifth great-grandfather. I have several land records and censuses for him. But I have never been able to find anything about his origins in France other than what he provides in his American Revolution pension application. I also have not found him listed in records of French soldiers who fought in the Revolution. Would like to exchange any information you may have and vice versa. Thanks.
