I am also related to Charles Aubertin the POW and my mother (Eileen now 65) was the daughter of Fredrick Aubertin , his father fought in the Boar War and as the family moved from Andover, Oxford and finally Coventry.
There is a picture in the family of my ggrand father aged about 25 in 1900, he was the postman to the great house that stood where our estate in longford Coventry is now, being sacked one christmas as the horse drawn post wagon took a sleepy Aubertin back to the yard, being offered too much to drink!
There are quite a few Aubertins in Coventry, John, Micheal, Ann and Eileen being freds children - also a peter.
