LOOKING FOR MY FAMILY NAME THAT ORIGINATED FROM FRANCE SPELT TENNEAR NOW BUT I BELIEVE IT WAS SPELT TENNIER. IF ANY ONE CAN HELP PLEASE I WOULD BE VERY GRATEFULL. THANKING YOU MARGARET TOMKINSON (ENGLAND)

Surnames: Tennier
My maiden name is Tennier, my father Donald and Grandfather Joseph Tennier and family were from Gaspe, Quebec Canada. Don't know if that helps, don't know alot about my history.

Hi ok thanks but i do not know much about where the family came from but have been told that the name originated from france and changed through the years to tennear, would be nice to trace back to france,

Our name is Tennear too. Would like to hear where name oringally came from but unfortunately we do not know this either.

Hi Just read your message for the tennear surname.wonder if it is the same as i know that our name has been spelt tennier way back in the past .just wondered how far back you have gone

also william /john/ maureen are my cousins.i cant remember which was your parents though. can you tell me please .also i have got alot of info on genes reunited.dont know if you are doing it on there? but if you did you could see my tree

Hi, Julie, Doug, Marie, Chip etc are Ben's Uncles and Auntie's.

He's Keith's son (not sure if Keith ever gets mentioned - i think he was disowned!)

How far have you traced the Tennear 'clan'? I've not used Genes Reunited!

Hello.No keith never get's mentioned as far as i know,i believe he was told when uncle vic died but he never went to funeral .I went to auntie florries and vic's.& uncle toms.
cant remember what it was all about.
Julie and me are doing tree and last summer we done the cematry rounds to look for our grandmother granny tennear but she couldnt remember where it was even though we had a old photo of grave, all the scenery has changed ,also G Grandfather is supposed to be in the cathlic one on bath rd.
but we never found it, we both have lots. you should join genes reunited it's free unless you want to look at someones tree £7.50 i think, I have a collection of B/M/D/cert.and julie has granny tennears diary which i borrowed.my email is margaret_tomkinson@hotmail.com i could send you some phots. I had a problem with pc last week and lost every thing i had on here.But i do have somethings i could scan
