I am delighted to hear from you. If your grandmother was Marie-Pierre Le Ru, born in Plouguernevel in 1894, died in Saint-Cyr-sur-Loire in 1967, then I believe that I am your second cousin (Je suis votre petit cousin issu de germains)! !

You also have lots of other second cousins living on the island of Jersey, in Great Britain, the United States and even one cousin in Australia! My grandmother, Virginie Le Ru, was the younger sister of Marie-Pierre. In about 1912 (100 years ago), Virginie and her widowed mother, Marie-Angele Le Ru (nee Jouan) came to the Channel Island of Jersey and stayed there. Virginie tried many times to find Marie-Pierre, but sadly without any luck. Virginie died in 1990. She had 10 children!
