Hello Valérie,
I've found a discussion about Jean François BROCQUEVIELLE & Marie Joseph NOE(L) on this French board:
http://www.geneachtimi.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=39765 (translation:
http://translate.google.fr/translate?js=n&prev=_t&hl... but beware, it also translates/mixes the individuals and towns names so hover your mouse over a sentence to see the original wording)
But this Jean François wasn't born about 1749 because the couple married on February 9, 1751 in Aire (nowadays Aire-sur-la-Lys in the Pas-de-Calais departement) and their son Ignace Xavier Joseph Jean Népomucène Sylvestre was born there on January 1, 1752! ;)
You'll find a little more on Geneanet from this genealogist (one of their French descendants) data:
http://gw4.geneanet.org/index.php3?b=maxxouille&lang=en;...And another list of descendants:
http://petit-colombier.forums-free.com/musique-newfie-t688.h...Etymology of the surname according Jean Tosti:
« The names Brocquevieille, Brocquevielle, Brocqueville, Brocvieille, Brocvielle are found in Artois and Picardy, and seem to stem from the Germanic individual name 'Brucco'. »
