Once again I get to say a big thank you to Soosi and Michel,

I am sorry it has taken me so long to post back....

I have had a family medical emergency, and have spent most of the day at the hospital, but will get back to you as soon as I can think straight again... all going well that will be in a day or two..

warm regards Frances

Bonjour,

My father Jack Clarence Smith did a lot about the Laneyrie genealogy but he died in 2003.
My cousin Jacques André Laneyrie has some documents. If you are interested, I can ask him his email adress. Anyway, I could ask my brother William Gervase Clarence Smith who lives in London where we can find some information about my Dad's work.
I am Antoine, I live in Macon (Burgundy). As I am handicaped, I am in a care center.
here is a website :

My best regards
Antoine

Bonjour Antoine,

Thank you for your message. How lovely to hear from you.

For a while I have been unable to work on the family history but I hope to get back to it in a few months. My page on geneanet is not very complete, however I have done much more work, and included some photos on ancestry.com. Let me know if you would like the link to this if you haven't found it already and I can send you a direct invitation to log in any time. I also have a private facebook page that is not very active, it only has a few of my family in it. I started it to share information with my children.

Nevertheless, I visited France and London about 8 months ago. In London I was able to have afternoon tea with your brother, and in Macon I visited Jacques Andre's mother. This visit was kindly organised for me by Micheal from this forum. It was an interesting visit because I have no French language skills, but I did learn a few things.

I wish I had known you were in Macon, I would have tried to visit you... :)

I hope enjoy your care centre, my mother has very recently move into one. She really likes it.

very warm regards
Frances
