Hello!
I've been able to find quite a bit of information and documents for you.
Ellen Hulse was born 22 August 1849 in Saint-Pierre-les-Calais (which was merged with Calais in 1881) to Richard Hulse and Martha Lee. I'm attaching the record. Richard Hulse was 36 and a worker in tulle and lace. They lived at 381 rue du Four à Chaux, Section D, Saint-Pierre-les-Calais.
Richard Hulse was born in 1812 in Thurcaston,Leicestershire to Henry Hulse and Elizabeth Lovett. He was baptized there on 25 December 1812.

Richard died on 8 May 1880 in Saint-Pierre-les-Calais (record attached).
Martha Lee was born in January or February of 1812 in Ilkeston, Derbyshire, to Stephen Lee and Mary Martha Andrews. She was baptized on 9 February 1812.
http://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?indiv=try&db=...Martha died on 27 April 1888 in Calais (record attached).
Stephen Lee and Martha Andrews were married 3 January 1806 in Woodborough, Nottinghamshire.
http://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?indiv=try&db=...Richard Hulse and Martha Lee were married in 1835 in Nottingham. I found the record on FindMyPast.co.uk but I don't have a subscription so I cannot look at the document. I'm attaching a screen shot.
Richard and Martha had seven children:
1. Mary Elizabeth born and baptized in 1836 in Basford, Nottinghamshire.
2. Edwin born and baptized in 1838 in Basford.
3. Martha Jane was born about July of 1842 in Basford.
4. Sarah Ann was born 13 April 1844 in Saint-Pierre-les-Calais (record attached).
5. Ellen (Heléne on some documents) was born 22 August 1949 in Saint-Pierre-les-Calais (record attached).
6. Emilie was born 26 July 1851 in Saint-Pierre-les-Calais (record attached).
7. Henri Stephen was born 6 February 1854 in Saint-Pierre-les-Calais (record attached).
Here is the family in the 1841 census taken in Basford, Leicestershire. They just have two children, Mary Elizabeth and Edwin:
http://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?indiv=try&db=...I am attaching the family in the 1851, 1856, 1876,1881 and 1886 censuses of Saint-Pierre-les-Calais. In the 1886 census Emilie and her family were living on the same street as her mother so I'm including that as well.
I hope all this is useful. Please let me know if you have any problems with any of it or if I can be of any more help.
Cheers,
Soosi
