Bordeaux 1700s :Jean Taris & Jeanne ??????

Surnames: Charron, Taris
Hi,

The attached certificate for the marriage of Bertrand Charron and Elisabeth Taris in the parish of Ste. Eulalie in Bordeaux in 1741, lists the names of both sets of parents. I've been staring at it for a couple of days and cannot, for the life of me, figure out the last name of the bride's mother. I'm hoping someone with a sharper eye, better paleographic skills, or greater familiarity with the names of the region, can offer some suggestions as to what it could be.

Thanks in advance.

It looks like Jeanne Camé to me and I found a lot of people with that surname in Sainte Eulalie throughout the 1700s and 1800s. I don't think the last figure in the name is a letter, rather an embellishment, which the writer has done at the end of a number of words in the document. Hope that's of some help.

Cheers,

Soosi

Thank you! That looks like a good prospect, and pretty close to my best guess, which was Carnaq, I'll report back if I find any records that support it.
