Re: Kin of Abraham Des Moulin
Here is some information that I have....
Abraham was the sone of Abraham Des MULLINS and Madellaine CHUPRET
In Aug 1685, the Edict of Nantes by Louis XIV made any assemblage of non-Catholic punishable by death. Abraham [father of this Abraham] and his family were forced to flee their native France. Madeleine (Chupret) Des Moulins and children Paul, Abraham and Marie arrived in London October 1685. Abraham may have died during the flight, or shortly after their arrival in London.
Abraham and Rachel m L' Eglise Francaise Des Grecs. [Greek church] Married by Mr. Severin, minister and lecturer.
Abraham MOULIN et sa femme [and wife] and Jaques BORET sa femme et deux en fants [wife and 2 children] were among the Huguenot passengers of the "Mary and Ann" 12 Aug 1700. The ship sailed from Gravesend and arrived at James City. The King of England provided this ship to send the French Huegenots out of the country.

Re: Kin of Abraham Des Moulin
Are you related to Abraham Des Moulin? I am the great granddaughter of James Thomas Mullen (born approx. 1840). James' father was Henry S. Mullen. If you keep going down the line from Henry (2-4 generations) you will eventually get to Abraham Des Moulin. I have recently been doing some research on the Mullen line. I have also been corresponding with another Mullen relative that has done a lot of research on the Mullen line. Would appreciate hearing from you. Thanks.

Re: Kin of Abraham Des Moulin
Hi
I have recently bought a Huguenot pedigree for the family of de Moulins (and variations) for research that I'm doing. I also have all the Huguenot Society of London/GB Quarto Series and Proceedings, information from which I'm putting together with the de MOULIN pedigree for publication.

Re: Kin of Abraham Des Moulin
Do any of you know if a line of this family immigrated to Louisiana? I am a direct decendant of Marie Francoise De Moulin. All that I know of her is that she was possibly born Dec. 3 1765 and she married Jean Louis Picou. If anyone knows of a De Moulin branch from Louisiana I would love to hear from you.

Re: Kin of Abraham Des Moulin
Hello, I just found this post and I am wondering what information you have regarding the children of Abraham Des Moulins. I am finding very conflicting information listed as to how many male children that he had. I know that apparently from his will he only listed 2 or 3 male heirs (Abraham, Isaac and Jacob), but I have found up to seven sons listed in other places. So you have information regarding this?

Re: Kin of Abraham Des Moulin
Hi! I, like you, have found conflicting information on the descendants of Abraham Des Moulin. I don't know what to believe anymore. At one point I knew I was descended from him and now I find info saying that Matthew Mullins was the emigrant of this family. I descend through William Grancer Mullins and Katherine Smythe. I would love to share info. Thanks, Robin
