Take a chance and write to the Mairie in Eysus, France. Try there first then write to Lili Casassous in Ogeu France. She is the president of a group of great Bearne people who are researching emigrants from the Bearne to the U.S, Central America and elsewhere.

If any or all of them migrated to the US and San Francisco in particular try:
www.movavo.com

There is the S.F. Genealogical Society also, then you both the public library and I believe the 2 or 3rd largest library called the Sutro Library.

Bob:

Thanks, but that link (movavo) that you recommend is not "live". Is there a typo in it?

Pat.

YES, YES, YES. SORRY. www.mocavo.com I personally did not ever know the Lagrave, Labrucherie or Arnatou. Those names are very familiar to me from the San Francisco area. My father was very active in the French community and was past president of La Ligue Henri IV.

There is a man that lives in Sonoma who originated from Eysus. Email is:
gratiannej@comcast.net

Did you contact Lili Casassous lili.casa@wanadoo.fr

Also you can research www.geneanet.org It is both free and fee. A valuable resource for researching. Personally I have found through them and to volunteers ALL of my Mazeres and Guilhamet Ancestors. As well as some of my Basque ancestors on my mothers side.

Good Luck.
