I'm not totally sure what it all means, but I think archives back to 1729 are at the archives in Haut-Rhin. If I understood correctly they have more than the Mormons do. Original records are housed at ADHR (Departmental Archives of Haut-Rhin) but I am not clear if visitors can look at them. Then there are microfilms, which seems to indicate that the same records can be viewed there?

Also, looking on familysearch, there is a microfilm of the parish records:

Probably easier to look at than the ones in France?
