A couple of notes:
Johann Georg Sorgius (1772-1855) was the son of Johann Michael Sorgius (1720-1772), and his second wife, Anna GARTNER (1738-1772) (not "Gander"). NB that Sorgius' mother + when he was just 10 days old, his father when he was slightly more than 3 months. It's not immediately apparent who raised Sorgius and his sister Margaretha, but when Margaretha married Paul Krieger at Niedersoultzbach in 1791, her Vormund, or guardian, was Michael Metzger, citizen at Schillersdorf. Signature shows him to be the one b 1739, son of Georg Metzger and Margaretha Gartner, the oldest sister of Anna Gartner. The father of the Gartner girls, Hans Adam (1684-1740), was from Niedermodern and was maternally descended from my family (Duchmann) there.
Although her 1840 death act at Ingwiller gives the mother's name as Catherine Peter, Barbara Schweyer married Sorgius in 1797 with the baptismal extract of Anna Barbara Schweyer, b 22 Sept 1776, daughter of Georg Schweyer (1740-1808) and Margaretha Lickel (1742-1800). The father's signatures on the baptism and the marriage are in the same handwriting.
