I am looking for my GGGrandfather Alfred Lion, born in Alsace 1859.

I did find where he immigrated from Hamburg Ger to NYC in late December 1875 and arrive Jan 3 1876 at the age of 16.

I am desparately trying to locate his home town or birth village so we can further track down our roots or maybe even find a birth record!
