Looking for vermeesch relatives

I am looking for anyone who has information about the mother or father of John Francis Louis Vermeesch. He married Isabella Frances Dupont. They had 7 children that i know of. Including Henriette (my line, born in 1859 in Newtown NSW Australia), other children included; Emile, Caroline, Jean, Leopold, Adolphe and Victor (died as an infant).

Henriette is my great great grandmother.

I was told John Vermeesch and his bride Isabella were from France. But I am not sure if the name Vermeesch is actually Belgian. Any help would be great.

Simone

Hi,
I'm looking for the village Tontelange, near Arlon.
My ancestor Wilhelm Heymanns (or Heymans, Haymans...) lived there about 1700. It think he had two children: Dominicus and Joanna-Mathias. Dominicus came to Elvange (Luxembourg) with 4 children. One of them, Henricus Heymanns, is my ggggg-father. He lived in Dommeldange (Luxembourg) and all his descendants too.
Does someone have any relation or more details about Wilhelm and his ancestors or about the descendance of Joanna or information of other family of them?
Thanks for any help.

Krafft/Tock Families around Arlon

I'm looking for any help from someone residing around Arlon, Stockem, Heinsch area. My greatgrandparents came from Stockem (according to immigration papers) in October 1884. Their names were Mathias and Louisa Tock Krafft. I would like to learn the date of their marriage. It could have been as early as 1878 or as late as 1884, and they could have been married in any of the three cities, but I suspect it was either Heinsch or Stockem. Any other names of family members and dates would be greatly apprecaited. Mathias's parents names were Nicholas and Elizabeth Wester Krafft.

Some stories say she was a princess, other says she hide Johann in an oven to keep her brothers from killing him and others say they swam across a river to escape her family so they could be married.

Johan Grohs was born in Churpfalz and died in Tweelbake, Oldenburg Germany.

Looking for the SERVENE and DeTEMPLE famililes who I believe were from the WALLOONIAN area of Belgium in the mid 1700's and went to the Zuesch area of Germany then with Remacle Joseph Hauzeur to work in the iron forge industry. Hauzeur brought workers with him to run the iron forges in the Zusch area according to documents. The Servene name is mentioned in the 'Index Onomastique' of the Association Royale Office Genealogique et Heraldique de Belgique web site.
DeTemple MAY possibly be the family 'de Templeux' or 'de Temploux'--my guess.
Thank you
Buz Kuzan in the United States

His son Fortune Van Cleemput b. 3 Sept. 1882 in Bois-de-Villiers, Namur, Belgium. Fortune and his wife Josephine Louise Marie Lamaitre b. 2 Dec 1877 emmigrated to Saskatchewan Canada with their two sons Marcel and George Ghislais Berthuin in 1926? from the port of Antwerp.
Family rumor has it that August changed his name to Van Cleemput from "Von Kleinput" or something similar, having come originally from Holland or more likely Germany. He and his brothers were reportedly large scale structural contractors building large buildings, bridges etc.
Any information or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

LONDOT Family History in Wallonia District of Belgium-GLASS BLOWERS

Thanks so much for putting this on the web as they are my paternal grandparents. Vernon is the son of Moses Londot, an immigrant to the USA from Wallonia District of Belgium. Moses came in 1886 with his brother Emil (or Emile) when Moses was 10 yrs of age and Emil was 12 yrs. They came with their father who may have been named Mitchel Londot. They spoke only French. Moses and Emil married sisters--Harriet & Margret Fink in a glass factory town in Indiana. These men were part of a glass blowing family heritage and both worked in glass factories in America. Moses' son Vernon also was a glass worker until automation came and took away the need for skilled glass blowers and related skilled glass workers.

If anyone knows their family history in Belgium please contact me.

Somewhere I remember reading that back in history, Belgium's border's extended further east and included towns like Bitbourg which is now in Germany? Was this during the Napoleonic time? I think I remember that the German area had it's own name, like Bastogne is in Luxembourg. Anyone know more?
