The Luxembourg American Cultural Society (now 600+ members strong) cordially invites you to attend its Annual Luxembourg Heritage Weekend, August 7 - 10, 2008 in Belgium, Wisconsin just 40 minutes north of Milwaukee. This year's Luxembourg Heritage Weekend calendar is: Thursday, August 7 - Luxembourg Heritage Circle Tour of Northern Ozaukee County - enjoy the sites and history of the Luxembourg presence in Ozaukee County; Friday, August 8 - All day Luxembourg American Cultural Conference featuring national and international speakers on Luxembourg topics of the past and the present - lots of genealogical insights and much more - Friday evening is the Annual Green Heart Gala Dinner Auction which supports the work of the non-profit Cultural Society. This event will be held at the Mequon Country Club and include amazing auction items direct from Luxembourg; Saturday, August 9, morning celebration of the traditional Luxembourg "Straussfeier" at the new Luxembourg American Cultural Center - celebrate a toast with us to the new Cultural Center, afternoon Hard Hat Tours of the Cultural Center, evening showing of the new documentary - Luxemburg, USA. Sunday, August 10 is the annual Luxembourg Fest of Belgium, WI featuring an outdoor Mass, ethnic food (yummy mustreipen - Luxembourg blood sausage!), heritage displays, music, LACS Gift Shop and much more.
