G Nicholas Palen was my great great great grandfather with joeseph palen being my great great grandfather. Joseph palen son was Edward Palen who was born in debuque Iowa and married Eileen Jenson from Cedar Rapids Iowa. Edward became an announcer for the famous Chicago barn dances (known as Ed Paul) and that's where he met Eileen who was a preformer. They moved to Alton IL and that's where Edward passed away in the 80's. His daughter, Eileen "Diane" Palen is my grandmother.
