In a genealogical periodical I found this question:

I am looking for data on the family of Leonard Snijckers, born 1798 in Rotem, and Anna Gertrudis Cox, born 1814.
They married in Rotem on Sep 12 1834 and they had 8 children.
In 1863 they migrate to Minnesota.
Who can help me with this family Snijckers, Snickers, Snikker?

I know something about Pauline Landerloos.
Born in 1899 and died in 1955 Beringen.
Married to Jan Tempels they had 1 son: Remi, born Beringen 05 Dec 1924 Died Diest 11 Nov 1983.

I have been researching my Limburg ancestors who arrived in Carver County, Minnesota in 1863. They came from Rotem, Limburg, Belgium and settled in Watertown Township, Carver County and others went to Ramsey County (St. Paul). The family names in Flemish were Snijckers, Cox. They also came with Limburgers from Susteren, Holland who were Vergoosen and Beckers. The Snijckers name spelling was changed variously to Snicker, Sniker, Snyker. All the families were Catholic and descendants married into German and Irish Catholic families. I was in Belgium in 1995, but didn't know the family origins at the time. I have found these families in the records at the Family History Library in SLC. I have visited the Carver County Historical Museum, etc. I am looking for information on Rotem, Limburg, Belgium and the Catholic church they might have worshiped in before coming to Minnesota. What luck have you had in finding out about the local history of the towns where your ancestors came from in Limburg, Belgium?

Hi, Henricus Konings (Koninx) born in Genck, Belguim in 1699 is also my last known ancester. I was searching yesterday and found a direct link from him right down the line to me (9 generations in total).
I was born in New Zealand but my parents are originally from the Netherlands.
If you're still interested I can send you the info I have found.
I'm still very keen to find out anything further if anybody knows.

Looking for information on family Tempels-Landerloos

Hello,

I live in England and am desperately looking for more information on my paternal grandparents, unforutnately no-one in my family seems to have information as to where I could find the birth date of Joannes (Jan) Tempels and his wife Pauline Landerloos. My father died in 1983 and my mother doesn't know at all,there are no other Tempels relatives alive who can assist.

I believe that Jan was born in Paal (not sure it could have been Koersel) and died early 1960's (again not sure where but it could have been in Tienen where he lived with his second wife), I have no information on Pauline at all, she died when I was very young (possibly around 1955).

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

Looking for more information on the ancestry of Mathieu ACHTEN who married Anna Maria TRUYENS 11 Nov 1771. Anna Maria TRUYENS was b. 2 Jan 1750 at Beek, Limburg and d. 5 Feb 1822. Their daughter, Margarita ACHTEN or AGTEN was b. 2 Feb 1776 at Beek. She married Wilhelmus HENDRIX (from Tongerlo)on 8 Sept 1799.

Their daughter was Anna Catharina SERVAES who married Nicholas BONGAERTS possibly at Gerdingen Limburg in 1806

My great Grandfather, Sylvester William Hendricks came from Tongerlo, Bree, Limburg, Belgium to the USA about 1862. He lived in Minnesota, first in Carver county, later in Scott, McLeod and Douglas Counties. Several of his neighbors were also from Limburg Province Belgium originally. Some surnames were Kramer, Braun, Clausman?, Bongarts. I would like to hear from other decendants of the Limburg Belgiums who immigrated to Minnesota.

Hello ,

I'm stuck with my search for the family Wijnand(s), also written as Wynants, Weijnands etc.
I oldest I have are:
Eustatius (Statius) Wijnand, born ca.1720/1730, RK
married Johanna/Jacoba Nicola
They lived in Zeeland, Netherlands and got for sure a son called Jacobus Wijnand,
I suspect they also had a son Leonardus and Christiaan and a daughter Maria Margreta.

It's quite possible they came from Belgium to Netherlands
Is there anyone who knows these names, for example I can't find the name Eustatius anywere on internet.
Does anyone know something about this family?>
Any help would be very much appreciated.

I am looking for any information on August Deprez, he was born Jan. 12, 1889 he married a Leona unknown maiden name. He died in Michigan May 19, 1968. On his mass card it has I guess he came from Ichtegem--Wijnendale.

Zij lijken na hun huwelijk van de aardbodem verdwenen!

Zij trouwden op 29 december 1845 in Breda, nadat zij op zondag 16 november 1845 in Breda in ondertrouw zijn gegaan.
Hij was Hoornblazer, bij het zevende Regiment Infanterie in Garnizoen te Breda (Laatselijk gedurende meer dan zes maanden garizoen gehouden hebbende te Vlissingen, geboren te Mons, oud ruim 28 jaren, jongman, meerderjarig zoon van wijlen Jacobus Johannes Haagen en van wijle Juliana Hendrika Brouwer.)
Bij het huwelijk waren de volgende getuigen aanwezig: Rozema, Harm (geb. ±1811), van Wijke, Bernardus (geb. ±1813), Brussel, Daniel Jan (geb. ±1813) en Overeem, Dirk Cornelis (geb. ±1813).

Zijn ouders en jongere broers keren terug naar Amsterdam, waar de familie oorspronkelijk vandaan kwam.

I am searching for information on the Engelen name. Is there any way you could help me. The original Joannes (Johane or John) was born in the kingdom of Belgium on 6 April 1837. He was in Missouri, USA, in 1868. In the census here for where he came from, it states: Bel, Deu. I don't know if that means Deurhn, or where. He was born approx. 1837. His parents names were Joannes Baptist Engelen & Maria Barbara Gevers. Any information would be great.

Thank you. That is so nice of you. I've gotten throuhg most of it, though the handwriting is so old and curvy. The word "Talleres" comes up. I looked it up and it measn factories, which if it is correct might suggest they worked in factories? I dont know. The whole sentence reads, "Domiciliado(a) en Talleres" also another sentence I'm having trouble with is "Bendecido por infracrito" and i'm not sure if the spelling of that last word is right or not.
