I am trying to work on my family tree and I am looking for connections to the following:
1. Benjamin Simon Alexis Girard - Belgium Father of Gilbert & Marie Elise.
2. Admandine Ernestine Peschard or Pechard - Belgium - Mother of Gilbert & Marie Elise.
3. Gilbert Girard - Charleroi Belguim - Brother of Marie Elise Girard.
The family migrated to NS sometime early 1900's but returned to Belgium a few years later. They had something to do with wines...farm - grapes or making wine. Elise Marie stayed in NS with her own family.

Any information would be so appreciated...I seem to have hit a dead end. Lin

I don't know how much help I can be; I have just started trying to trace my grandfather's family. He was born Edouard Adrian Peschard in Flere [Normandy], France, in 1876. I know that he was one of 10 children and his father died when my grandfather was 10. All family records were destroyed in 1944 during the Normandy invasion. I don't know if there is any connection to the Peschard family in Belgium, but it does not seem to be that common a name.

My grandmother, Elise Marie (Girard)Porquet, born 23 Feb 1907 at Charleroi, Belguim. Died 21 Sep 1991, at New Waterford, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Her brother was Gilbert Girard, I have no dates but know he is buried somewhere in Charleroi, Belguim.

There father was Benjamin Simon Alexis Girard and their mother was Admandine Ernestine Peschard or Pechard...I am not sure of the spelling. I believe she came from a large family.

I have recently received some personal letters of my grandmothers and I am translating them. I will advise of any further information.
