I've started to find out more information about my ancestors. Probably Louis is far away related to us. I've find out that about 1837 a family called Van den Ecker (father Bernard van den Ecker, born in Wesel germany, and mother Maria Catharina Cornelia Teurlings, born in Antwerp Belgium)) moved from Venlo (Netherlands) to Belgium (a place called Bourg Leopold, present name Leopoldsburg). This family had 3 children: Joannes Bernardus Cornelius van den Ecker, born in 1838, Henriëtte Melanie Corneille van den Ecker, born in 1841, and François Emmanuel Corneille van den Ecker, born in 1843. Louis could be a son of Joannes van den Ecker or François van den Ecker. This i have to investigate. There was another brother of Bernard who also went to Belgium. His name is Peter Hendrik van den Ecker. Louis could be a son of his child Leonardus van den Ecker.
Then there was a second brother of Bernard, named Jean (Joannes). I don't know nothing about him.
Do you have more information about Louis. If my Louis is related to this part of the family his roots go back to 1640 and most likely back to 1406 (this is not for sure).
