Michael Vanlandeghem (now VanLandingham or Vallandingham) was my 10X Great Grandfather who came to the Americas sometime around 1660 or before and settled in Northumberland County, Virginia. I can trace the American line easily down to myself, but going back and tracing the Belgian ancestors has proven difficult. I have a possible lead that Michael was the son of Cornelius Vanlandeghem b. 1611 and Marie Declercq b.1619. I am looking for anyone who may have any information to verify this information. Records in Belgium show Michael's birth at 1//7/1643 but no record of death and Michael was the oldest child according to records which would have allowed him to leave to journey to Virginia. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
