I'm living in Mouscron. I'm a descendant from Vanlaeys Petrus-Franciscus (father, Petrus-Franciscus and mother Demets Pétrolilla. He is born 9/2/1736 to Ruein (christining certificate 126 - 2).
I can you give all the listing of family Vanlaeys : 45 chsistining, 17 married ans 30 dead for the periode 1693 - 1796. Listing carry out in 1830, official copy of parished registres of Ruien.
I can also you help for search to Ruein in the "Provincial Archives". It's the best solution and not in Brussel! If you want another document, photo... ? I can research doieng in Mouscron.

It's been some time since our last contact. You said my line was not of Frans Van Laeys. I have a letter from St. Cornelius Church in Ruien stating the following:
Benedictus Van Laeys(Benoit) born 12 Mar 1798 died 25 December 1858 @ 62years old filius Francisci and Maria Joanna Condrie maritios Reginae Van Geersdaele. Regina Vangeersdaele died 1873 filia Philiberti and Gabriellae Vlieghe Regina was 76 years old.
Paul Provos did the search and connected Benoit to a Benoit Van Laeys perhaps born in 1782 and Catherine De Bunderie this Benoit died 21 Dec 1858.
Is it possible for you to read the death certificate for Benoit Van Laeys born 12 Mar 1798 and find if he was married twice?
