My great grandmother was Regina VerHeecke and she married Theophile DeVos. They had two children Peter Ferdinand and Julia. My mother has much more info including photos. I remember seeing a memorial card from Camiel DeVos' funeral in my grandmother's belongings.

Fun stories, my mom says "Tante" Marie was a healer and helped with the birth of Julia, who was born prematurely at home. She was placed in a little shoe box and put on top of the stove to keep her warm. Julia is in her 80s today.

Also, Marie likely played matchmaker for Theophile and Regina. Without having met her, he sent her a letter to invite her to move to the US and to get married.
