Sorry if the post was unclear, my only relation to Maru Sasdoine Hecq, is that she sued my great great great grandmother, Florine over a piece of property.
However, information that may help you in your search at the time that she sued Florine, Maru was still living in Belgium but the piece of property that was at issue was in the Monesson-Charleroi, PA area. Maru's husband sold the property to Florine while in PA. So I am assuming that he came over by himself or after his death Maru went back to Belgium. The way the law suit was described, it is more likely that Maru had never been to the U.S. so maybe when her husband came over he either came with other relatives or possibly older male children to forge a new life (the Monesson/Charleroi area was blossoming in the area of glassworks and many Belgiums went to that area as Belgium was also a large glass working area). I hope this helps you. If you have anymore questions about the lawsuit, I can dig out the article and look for more detail about the Hecq's.
