Hello Merilyn. I am glad to find new relatives from other branches of the family. I have been looking for other relatives for a long while but had no luck. I would realy appriciate all the help I can get from any one who can help. My grand parents were Jules and Amandine Emplit, they came fromBelgium around the late 1890s or early 1900s. Jules had three sisters, Juliette, Henrietta, and Ernestine. He also had two brothers, Henry and Ernist. Iam not sure how many sibblings my grandmother had but her last name was DeGrave before marriage. I would like to share more information about the family so please write to me at sjemplit@comcast.net and I will send you what information I have. Hope to hear from you soon, your knew found cousin Stephen

Have you ever been to the Ellis Island site? If you put Emplit in the search. You will find a number of Emplits including Jules, Henri, Ernest and my great grandfather Simeon. They came over between 1899-1910. I believe several years ago I had e-mailed your brother Ray.
