Interested in finding any information about the Von Althaus or Von Kaas families who migrated to Peru in the 17 or 1800's. My Grandmother on my mothers side was a von kaas. Her grandfather was George Carl August Von Kaas who migrated to America in the 1850's from Schamburg-Lippe,Germany. He was the groundskeeper for the Prince of Schamburg-Lippe and had to imigrate for some unknown indiscretion. Would like to know more about the South American line.
