I am trying to find information about my grandfather Walter Bedford. He was born in the Yorkshire, UK in 1886 and travelled to Coronel, Chile in 1910 to demonstrate coal mining equipment. After the floods in 1914, we believe he was out of work due to the flooding and went to work on the railways. We have a photograph of him standing in front of a steam locomotive with a number of other workmen, we assume to be a track laying / repair gang. The photo is labelled "Ferro Carril Este Central de Chile". The story goes that he returned to the UK in the late 1920's to visit but we have no further information about him since then. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
