Hi I am researching the Ossig surname, they came from
Germany or Poland to South Australia,Australia about 1846-1847.
the ship unknown. Gottfried Ossig b.c.1784 died South Aust July 1847, his wife may have died in Germany
three sons arrived with Gottfried, Johann Gottfried b.c.1820-1821, died 1849 South aust age 28 years,
Johann Christoph b.c. 1830 (my husband's ancestor) died 1892, Sth Aust, and Karl b.c. 1832.
I haven't been able to find any overseas information and would love to find a "rellie" connected. Ossig seems a very uncommon surname I Have found
Thanking you,
Judy of South Australia
