Great Web site! I enjoy seeing familiar family names I often heard while growing up in Rosario, Argentina, and Astoria, Queens, NY. My father was Luigi Catalano (Serafina Fosco was his mother.) My mother was Alba Maria Catalano (Carmela Saraceni was her mother.) They met in Argentina and married in 1942 and had two daughters--Betty and me. We relocated to NY in 1956 and in 1980 to Charlottesville, VA. Cicone (sp?) was the family nickname. The Catalano family is from Orsogna, but unfortunately, I don't know where they originate. I visited Orsogna in 1963 and again with my Dad in 1996 shortly before he passed away. I'm glad we took this trip together.
