Elaine, I was borned in North Argentina, city called Mosconi, in the norther part of Salta. There are hundred of Sirians families in that area, Nasar, Jotalem, Naas and so, I have a friend who is Sirian decent living in Salta city. Great part of Salta and Santiago del Estero are occupied for those immigrants. I will contact my friend and see if he would like to share more info with you. Good luck

Hola: soy Rafael Pagano, residente en Barcelona (España), originario de Salta (Arg.). Mi padre era Nicolás Pagano, hermano de Pascual Pagano, originarios de Bs As, con siete hermanos más, hijos de Beatriz Cincioni.
Quien murió en Salta, su lugar de residencia, en accidente automovilístico fue mi padre, Nicolás, en 1990.

Carmelo Spadaro immigrated to Argentina from Sicily. He was born in 1883 in Valguarnera, Caltanissetta, Sicily to Domenico Spadaro and Anna Pellegrino. It is believed that he married in Argentina and had several children. The CEMLA database shows several Carmelo Spadaro's entering Argentina. In order to complete the family tree, I continue to look for the family of this Carmelo. His photograph is attached. If you think there may be a connection, please respond to this post. Thank you.

Searching for information on Hannah Bergantinos. She was born in ~1900 in Tuolumne County, California, and then moved to Argentina with her son Andres and husband (Andrew) during the 1920s. Her husband was from Spain.

The last mention of her is in the following obit: Modesto Bee, March 11, 1955, p 2

TURLOCK -Funeral services for Margaret A. Dignes, 53, of Turlock will be conducted at 10 AM tomorrow in the Norton Mortuary.
She died Wednesday afternoon in a Modesto hospital following an extended illness.
The Rev. Neal Pearson of the Nazareth Luthern Church will officiate. Interment will be in Turlock Cemetery.
Mrs. Dignes, a native of Stent, Tuolumne County was reared there and in Sonora, Tuolumne County. She resided in Modesto prior to her marriage in 1936 to Berger (sp) Dignes. They resided in Turlock after their marriage.
She leaves her widower, Berger; two sons, James Varni of Sonora and Larry Dignes of Turlock; three brothers, John A. Bogan of Los Angeles, Mark Bogan of Stent and James Bogan of Turlock; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Silver of Vallejo, Mrs. Inez Raymond of Fresno, Mrs. Hannah Bergantinos of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Mrs. Josephine Johnson of Salinas, Monterey County.

I am currently doing a search for my mother in law. Her father was German and immigrated to Argentina he passed away some time in 1965. She was small to remember much about him. his name is Pedro Loeblein.

I am a descendant of the Brun family of Andreis, Italy. They changed their name to Brunn in the US and became Evangelical Presbyterians, rather than Catholics, as had been in Italy.

Brothers Joseph/Giuseppe, Angelo and John/Giovanni Brun came to America via Glasgow, Scotland, after having left Italy, then apparently they first sailed to Havre, France. Their other brothers, Lutgardo, Giacomo and Natale Brun remained in Andreis, or Udine, Italy with their father, Antonio Brun and mother, Cristina Trinco Brun.

Some cousins may have gone to Brazil, Canada or Argentina. Is my family related to yours?

Carmelo Spataro (o Spadaro) quien era hermano de mi abuela. Carmelo viajó
de Valguarnera Caropepe, Sicilia, Italia para Buenos Aires, aproximadamente en 1908 o 1909. La última carta que la familia recibió de él fue en el año 1920 - 1928 y en
ésta mencionó que tenia cuatros hijos y que su esposa había fallecido ya.

Si Uds. tienen alguna información sobre Carmelo Spadaro, o son
descendientes de esa familia, les agradecería muchísimo respondieran a esta
carta. Aquí en los EE UU Carmelo todavía tiene un sobrino y dos sobrinas que
desean saber cuál fue su destino.

I am searching for information about my great aunt who immigrated to Cordoba, Argentina from Lucca, Italy in the early 1900's. I believe her name was Marta or Marchessa Tognoli, but I don't know her married name. Her sister (my grandmother) was Teresina (Tognoli) Barsanti who lived in California, USA. She visited her in Cordoba in 1914 and gave birth to my uncle Frank Barsanti there. One of her other sons, Nello Barsanti (about 6 years old) also died in a farm accident while in Cordoba. I would appreciate any information.

I am looking for information on my Great Grandparents.
Aurora Del Carmen Unco Aurora married Justo Luna on 19 Oct 1910 in Rosario De La Frontera, Salta.
Justo Luna was born about 1872 same place as married.
My Grandfather (their son) was born between 1911 & 1917.
There is family runor though no proof he may of been orphaned.
Grandfather went to the USA through Texas.

Me gustaría encontrar que la pista de un tío grande desapareció en Argentina en el principio de los años 1900 y que era el natural de Francia (Verchocq). Llamaron a esta persona Léonce Hippolyte FOURNIER sido nacido en 1876 a Renty en el Norte de Francia. Llamaron a sus padres Leufred FOURNIER (sido nacido en 1849) y Marie VERDOY (sido nacido en 1855). Pienso que él emigró en la región del Santa Fe pero no estoy seguro de ello. I would like to find the track of a big uncle disappeared in Argentina at the beginning of 1900's and which was native of France ( Verchocq). This person was called Léonce Hippolyte FOURNIER been born in 1876 to Renty in the North of France. His parents were called Leufred FOURNIER (been born in 1849) and Marie VERDOY (been born in 1855). I think that he emigrated in Santa Fe's region but I am not sure of it. If you have any informations, please send me a mail. Thank you very much.
