Ronald: Are you familiar with the Frugolis so went to New York? My great-grandfather, Oraxio Fornaci, moved from Diecimo in abt 1881, with two of the Frugolis, with whom he owned a millinery business. The three of them also patented a hat block made of then recently-discovered aluminum. Oraxio changed his name to Horace and ultimately settled in Philadelphia, while still maintaining business and personal ties with the Frugolis. As an aside, Horace's son, also called Horace, married the daughter of Lorenzo Nardi, born abt 1819, who moved from Diecimo to Paris, then to Philadelphia (really 1850's). Any of this sound familiar to you? Thanks.
