My Great Uncle Tome Urlic was 24 yrs old when he immigrated from Drasnice in Croatia to Argentina in 1929. He boarded vessel 'Baden' in Hamburg & dis-embarked in Buenos Aires.
Tome left behind one brother 'Mila' in Drasnice, his sister Mary (my grandmother) having already emmigrated to New Zealand during 1924.
Tome served in the Infantry stationed in Negotin, Serbia prior to his departure from Drasnice.
Not much is known where he settled in Argentina, however he owned a vineyard somewhere there. Our family in New Zealand lost touch with him shortly after his arrival in ARG.
