I am hoping to find living relatives, with connections to the Staaf family name.

My Great Great Grandfather Andrew Staaf was born in Gottenburg, Sweden in 1857, and moved to Melbourne, Australia and married an Australian lady called Frances Omant, and died in Echuca, Victoria, Australia in 1934.

All I know about my Great Great Grandfather Andrew Staaf's swedish roots is that his parents were Louisa Anderson and Andrew Staaf. Also that (possibly) one of his brothers (whom I don't have a name for), had a son Anders Staaf who lived in Uddevalla, Sweden.

My mother visited Uddevalla in the 1970's and meet up with Anders Staaf and his wife (I think they had no children). Mum kept in contact with Anders for some time, but has passed away now. Anders did have a best friend called Eric / Erik, who had studied in (Oxford ?) England and had very good english. But, my mum has since lost contact with Eric and believes he may have passed away too.

Anders Oskar Staaf b 5th Dec 1911, d. 21st March 1986 in Uddevalla. Married to Gussi Inglis Staaf, b.23rd July 1913, d. 6th Sept, 1990.

My mother seems to believe, many of our relatives would have either lived or were born in Uddevalla or Gottenburg, Sweden.

So, I am looking for anyone who has information on my Staaf relatives, or who is related themselves to the family, or who is willing to help me find information on my family.

Being in Australia, it's hard to trace back your roots especially if they are in Sweden.
