I have some old photos taken at a Des Moines, Iowa studio of the Leaf family. The photos are (somewhat) identified at Clara, August, and Emil Leaf and possibly their parents.

The Leaf family were cousins (?) to Maria Berglund Peterson Carlson. Maria was a native of Falun, Kopparberg, Sweden.

Maria's first husband was John Peterson who was a coal miner at Oswalt, Iowa. Following John's death, Maria married Alfred Carlson. Maria and Alfred lived at Des Moines, Iowa before moving to Minnesota.

Would like to compare notes with any Leaf researchers who connect to this particular family.
